There is answer for every problem. Yes, there is. I say the answer is basically the positive outcome we desire.

See what we often think of as the “answer,” however, is the “how” of getting the answer. The solution to it. You know, the problem solving part. The “if x plus 12 equals 5, then find x” part. And because we don’t always know the how or the formula we say we don’t have the answer. And when we don’t know the solution, we stare at and stay focused on the problem, ruminating. We forget that what we focus on grows.
Think again with me here. What if we focused on the answer we want?
Marilyn Hickey said “we’ve rehearsed the problems long enough. Time to rehearse the promises.”
What if solutions are attracted to answers rather than problems? What if solutions only develop after the “answer” has been meditated on and declared? Yes, that’s it.

Start focusing on and declaring your answers. It’s your promise, the desires of your heart, your hope, and your dreams. If for anything so you can change your state in an instant and improve your mood. Because it is still impossible to feel bad, while meditating on good things.

You don’t have to keep getting sick!

Guess what?! You don’t have to keep getting sick! It is HOT today in the month of February in the Inland Empire, but the whether’s about to change again this week. So what to do?

Rather than considering it the inevitable, or assume it just has to go around, you might be surprised to know that you can be offensive (proactive) and defensive (fight back)- AKA build your immune system!

Here are the very basics I always mention: Get on and stay on your probiotics-The good bacteria your body needs to balance your gut and protect your immune health. You’ll find these in abundance in fermented foods, plus I encourage you to supplement if you’re not getting enough (and I mean with the live, refrigerate only type). I’ve been taking the one by Dr. Tony- Lifestyle Quixotica.

I remember some years back when I just kept getting sick. Over and over and over in one season, I got sick. It affected my commitments and of course my own sense of well-being, and I hated it! I tried all the go-to over-the-counter, symptom suppressing stuff, and even antibiotics. My darling friends, including a nurse, brought me all kinds of things to try. I was a mess and my immune system was ticked off, haha! Anyway, one friend pointed me to a newsletter from Dr. Axe and I was introduced to one of my favorite remedies- Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother-yes, the slimy looking stuff floating around in the bottle). And would you believe in a couple of days, I was all cleared up, and seriously haven’t been hit since? Cured versus covered up- Thank God! Well, of course that solidified my journey as a wellness advocate and eventually took me down the path of enrolling in the Institute of Nutritional Leadership where I’ve really come to agree with Hippocrates, when he said:

Let food be thy medicine.

Real food and real food based supplements contain so many healing properties that your body will recognize and use in it’s natural design to heal itself. So, anyway, take it from my experience: start taking some Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (with the mother) in a glass of water EVERYDAY (increase to 3 times a day to fight back when you feel it coming on). The one by Bragg’s is pretty easy to find in grocery stores. Try some essential oil blends that kick the cold and flu in the butt, (DoTerra’s OnGuard is my reliable favorite, containing immune defending ingredients like Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Leaf, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower essential oils).

And of course, as I truly believe, trust God for divine health!

Let me know if you have questions on my favorite supplements, where I get them, or on how to take your ACV with honey and cinnamon for an added boost and detox. You know we also have some of this stuff you could try in our studio.

If you’ve been battling these symptoms, let me know if this helps. I miss you and want to see you optimizing your health to enjoy your freedom in you everyday life; and I want to see you keep moving. I will see you at the barre 🙂

Friends, here’s a journey to the Barre-a-thon I thought I would share from when I first joined the blogging team with with anti human trafficking organization, The Exodus Road. You can find the original post on my ithinkagain.com blog here.

A few years ago, right before I launched Tribal Marks (Passion Barre’s parent brand), I started to hear a lot about this “human trafficking thing”, but like with many others, the concept just wasn’t hitting home… until I actually listened. I was listening to Lisa Bevere with Pearl Alliance and she told the story of an undercover visit to a brothel. She spoke of a lady who was trapped in sex slavery and forced labor. We’ll call the lady “Pearl.” Pearl was accustomed to servicing about 40 clients a day while her children waited under the bed. She had concluded that there was no hope for her, but maybe someone could smuggle away her children… if she could just get them into the right hands, that is. She ran after them and almost blew their cover as she called out “Please, take my children.”

I didn’t know when a wail came from within me as I listened. Not just tears or sadness, but a long, painful WAIL! Oddly enough, Lisa had just said this a few weeks before in another one of her podcasts: “It’s not until you wail on behalf of another. It’s not until the plight of another touches you to the core… then will you do something about it.”

I had considered myself an orphan and abuse victim advocate, yet I had never imagined an industry where perpetrators maximized the very worst of this combination. Preying on orphans, “harvesting” babies, and putting children as young as 7 years into sex slavery and pornography while clients from suits to beach bums took advantage of them.

How did women like Pearl get into this bondage? Was she lured with a great “job” offer that would help her take care of her family? Was she sold off by parents or guardians who couldn’t afford basic neccessities? Was she born into it? Or was she simply kidnapped and never heard from again, becoming another soul lost in the sea of about 27 million in captivity.

You may choose to look the other way but you can never say again that you did not know. ― William Wilberforce

Tribal Marks launched, with the Please TAKE My Children campaign, and the brand I were bound to the cause of Freedom. “Please TAKE My Children”, is the cry of a dead or helpless parent, but ultimately, the heart of God– asking us to steward His creation-His children, and take up their cause as though they were ours, just as He did for us.

Our campaigns have allowed us to raise funds in a creative manner with evenings of art, fashion, food, dance, poetry, friends… and then we channel the funds through allies on the field as we build relationships.

Right before opening up the studio in the Rancho Cucamonga location, I was introduced to The Exodus Road team and fell in love with the coalition’s strategy of intervention; and had the privilege of spending a week with them in South East Asia, blogging about their incredible work. This was life-changing. The Exodus Road is a coalition of covert investigators and organizations working together to fight human trafficking through interventions. They gather legal evidence, support raids and prosecutions, and support aftercare facilities in our network. Read the rest at ithinkagain.com

Freedom has often come, and can only come, as a result of the free becoming distressed by the captivity of the enslaved.

As a coalition also with Pearl Alliance they enable individuals to be an important part of the work of rescue and restoration. A part of raising awareness about human trafficking is being aware not only of the issue, but becoming a part of the solution. Rescue is happening, and it’s happening in the hands of everyday heroes like you and me.

I have since met with more incredible teams since Pearl Alliance and Exodus Road; some of whom we consider featured partners at Passion Barre. Most also have their projects featured under Pearl Alliance, which is fantastic, as we thrive on the principles of partnership and unity.

This season and Human Trafficking Awareness month, we dedicate a lot of time, resources and energy to rescue and freedom, culminating in our Barre-a-thon for Freedom – a series of deliriously liberating Passion Barre classes in one day, free to the community, at a suggested donation. Proceeds from our Barre-a-thon and overall Fight for Freedom 24/7 Giving Challenge go directly to empower our partners’ work in rescuing women and children from slavery.

If you can join us for a Barre class, we’d love to have you. If not, you can still be a part of it. We encourage you to consider giving what you can towards our team goal of funding a raid (to seek, rescue and restore victims; and convict these criminals) this season.

2 factors that help you thrive and live longer with the Passion Barre Freedom 24-7 Challenge

live life free

At the turn of the new year, we shared 17 ways to be transformed in 2016 and charged you to pick just a few that you would practice this year. Well, the consensus is out and this will help you narrow your focus to two! Read below, and watch the video to see how practicing these two factors will also make you a champion in helping to rescue women and children from torture and captivity.

Numbers 4 and 5 on this list say it in a nutshell: move more and connect more.We see new friendships budding and thriving here at Passion Barre all because people showed up to improve the way they move! And of course, it’s only natural – it’s a safe place where you’re celebrated- key elements to creating an environment for connection.

You were designed for social connection and meaningful relationships regardless of your personality type. This doesn’t make you needy, it makes you thrive!

So, I encourage you to challenge your comfort zone and invest in your longevity and growth. Get to “moving”; make new friends and be purposeful in developing the relationships important to you – and perhaps shed the ones that hinder your mutual progress.

Ok so hear my heart: With all the GMOs, chemical preservatives, over-medication etc in our present day system – things can get overwhelming and discouraging and at times we can only know so much without being bogged down with anxiety. No matter how well do, we sometimes ingest things we don’t even want to know about. Here’s some encouragement for you, and something to believe in. Pray this over yourself and your loved ones! ‪#‎passionbarre‬ ‪#‎takeauthority‬ ‪#‎audacitywithvictory‬ ‪#‎unleashfreedom‬‪#‎wewin‬ ‪#‎karingah‬

Are you ready?!

It’s coming again… Something tremendous is about to happen!

17 ways to be transformed in the new year

happy new year!

I hope you are as excited as I am! The turning of time is a great gift to us and a momentum builder for dreaming again. So let this be your year, folks! Did you see that? Your year. Own it and live it out victoriously. Here’s to many more in grace, good health, power and prosperity.

So what are you going to do differently this year? Will you reduce your stress level? Will you improve your diet? Will you take movement and exercise more seriously?

Think about it:
The fact is, you will grow, age or change this year, and on December 31, you will be slightly (or dramatically) different than you are today. The secret to this is harnessing the inevitable and taking it in the direction you want. One cool thing about a New Year is that it gives us the opportunity to reflect over life, to acknowledge where we are and where we want to be headed.
If you would like to be headed in the direction of improved health, reduced fat and increased strength, then:
